Last updated: 7 November 2025

This Privacy Policy explains how viewfoot SAS ("viewfoot", "we", "us") collects, uses, and protects personal data when you use the viewfoot platform (the "Services").

1. Data we collect

1.1 Information you provide

  • Account details such as name, email, password, date of birth, and preferred role (player, guardian, recruiter).
  • Profile data including playing history, position, references, compliance documents, and other details you choose to add.
  • Uploaded media such as match videos, annotations, images, and supporting documents.
  • Communications including messages, comments, and support requests.

1.2 Payment information

If you purchase a subscription we collect billing details and pass payment information to our payment processor (Stripe). We do not store full card numbers.

1.3 Automatically collected data

  • Usage logs describing how you interact with the Services (pages visited, actions taken, timestamps).
  • Device and connection data such as IP address, browser type, operating system, and device identifiers.
  • Cookies and similar technologies that help us keep you signed in, remember preferences, measure performance, and detect abuse.

1.4 Information from third parties

  • OAuth providers (for example Google) share basic profile information when you sign in using their service.
  • Recruiter partners may submit feedback or references relating to a player profile.

2. How we use data

We process personal data to:

  • Provide, maintain, and improve the Services.
  • Facilitate sharing of player profiles and media with approved recruiters according to the controls you select.
  • Manage payments and account status.
  • Communicate with you about updates, security alerts, and support.
  • Analyse usage to enhance features, detect fraud, and keep the platform secure.
  • Comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms of Service.

3. Legal bases

We process personal data on the following bases:

  • Performance of a contract (providing the Services).
  • Legitimate interests (product improvement, security, preventing abuse).
  • Compliance with legal obligations (record keeping, responding to lawful requests).
  • Consent, where required (marketing communications, cookies with optional settings).

4. Sharing and disclosure

  • Recruiters and agencies you authorise can view the player data you share with them.
  • Service providers (hosting, analytics, customer support, payment processing) access data only as needed to deliver their services to us under contractual safeguards.
  • We may disclose information if required by law, regulation, or legal process.
  • If we are involved in a merger, acquisition, or asset sale, we will notify you of any change in data control.

5. Data retention

We retain personal data for as long as necessary to provide the Services, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements. You may request account deletion; we will remove or anonymise data except where retention is required by law or legitimate business needs.

6. International transfers

We store data in the European Union when possible. When we transfer data outside the EU we rely on approved safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses.

7. Security

We use encryption in transit and at rest, signed media URLs, role-based access controls, and regular security reviews to protect personal data. No system is perfect, so we encourage you to report any suspected vulnerabilities to security@viewfoot.com.

8. Your rights

Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, or object to processing of your personal data. You may also request data portability or withdraw consent. Submit requests via the account settings or by emailing privacy@viewfoot.com.

9. Children

Players under 16 must have a parent or legal guardian manage their account. We do not knowingly collect information from children without verifiable guardian consent.
